Clarification Text on Security Cameras in Our Service Area

This clarification text has been prepared by Peraluna Örme San. Ve Tic. A.Ş., acting as the data controller within the scope of Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation of Clarification, to inform you regarding the purposes of processing your personal data, legal reasons, collection method, to whom it can be transferred and your rights under the KVKK.

Video recording is made by means of security cameras at the entrance of our store, behind the cash register and in the warehouse, and in order to ensure the security of our service area, and the recording process is supervised by the administrative affairs and data processing unit.

The personal data in question shall be processed automatically to the extent “the relevant processing is required for legitimate interests of the data controller provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not impaired” and “it is essential for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligations” as provided in article 5 of the KVKK and disclosed to relevant judicial authorities solely for settlement of legal disputes.

Article 20 of the Constitution states that everyone has the right to be informed about their personal data. In Article 11 of the KVKK, the rights of the personal data owner under the law are listed.
